Nick Vujicic: Unstoppable Live in Manila

While I try my best to keep the professional details of our events under wraps, it might be proper to give an appreciation post to Mr. Nick Vujicic and his Life Without Limbs team.

May 18-20, 2013.
Unstoppable Live in Manila: May 18-20, 2013.

This event is definitely one of my bigger highlights in Becca Music, Inc. This man has been able to draw crowds like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and I’m willing to bet that some of the people who just wanted to see Nick for the novelty of it got more than what they bargained for.

The guy’s crazy in love with a living God.

One of the things that shocks people about my job is that I never really get to witness any of our events. This poses no problem for me at all, because I know I am worshiping the Lord too, but not as an audience member. So, unfortunately, I can’t really tell you much about what he said, but I bet you can ask someone who can. Nick gathered around 10,000 people per day. Were you there?

Talk about one voice that makes a difference.

What I can tell you is that Nick is more than giving, more than considerate, more than kind.

I’m trying my best to take cues from the guy who, even after a long and tiring day of speaking, social dinners, and photo sessions, called my name and cocked his head to the side and said, “Najee! Why don’t we have a picture yet?” And while I declined and smilingly told him I was working, he countered and said, “Give me a hug!” which is sort of like his handshake.

His voice sounded tired and his face looked weary, though still smiling and peaceful.
I thanked him for being such a trooper, and for being so giving and for working so hard.

He had to leave his wife and 3-month old baby in order to minister to other people. I’m glad that as I’m writing this, a good three weeks after his visit in Manila, he might be on his way to see them again.

I’m praying for a tearful, joyful, wonderful family reunion.

Nick's gift =)

I think that’s definitely something world-changers have going for them: they have the incredible ability to not think of themselves so much, but instead put other people first, for a greater purpose. His humble heart shines.

(I’m not even talking about the Life Without Limbs team yet, comprised of Ignatius Ho – the instant favorite of the BMI Team – and the media guys, who I enjoyed learning from and kidding around with. So much joy in that team!)

Nick’s latest book is UNSTOPPABLE: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action.
It’s currently being sold in all bookstores nationwide, so go get yourself a copy!
